key: turning from lock

Hi, y’all.

I really need your help. My car (stock 90 240sx) got broken into the other day, no major damages/ nothings missing, but I’ve discovered the key wouldn't turn from “lock” to start. There’s power, got it (new battery) changed the day before, don’t know what’s the issue is. I’ve tried turning the steering (left and right) and the key at the same time, but nothing. Any suggestions?

ohh yeah, i forgot to mention, the button when you usually push in to get the key out. Its locked in too.

wiggle the steering wheel and push the button and turn and pull the key.

I know what you mean, but I’ve try that that many time [the button are already push in (stuck)]. I’m currently taking it apart to have a look; see if there’s any wire connection related.

Alright, I manage to find out how to start/and running the car without the key and shift gears when the keys in. But the steering and key still won’t turn. Anyone have any ideas on how to disable the steering lock?
