I just took delivery of a 1991 D21 2wd 4 cylinder auto and after going through it I must say it's a fine truck! Only one problem. The key is stuck in the ignition and won't turn back to the lock position, it stops at the Off position and won't turn any further. The release button doesn't do anything either. I tried tapping on it while turning the key but nothing. I verified that the truck is in park but still the key won't turn past the OFF position. Anyone else seen this happen on their auto D21? I thought it was ignition related at first but it could also be the Park/Neutral switch causing this too. Thoughts?

Oh and a pic...it came with ratrod wheels and whitewalls but I took them off so I could actually turn the wheel. They'll be going back on but with a lower profile tire.

Temp fix. There is an emergency release switch inside the steering column near the key release switch. I flipped that up and the key came out. Looking at the FSM I believe I either have a fuse or detent switch problem. No big deal as long as the emergency switch works everytime I need it.
