key number plate

I did a search on this topic and found that the posts on this subject were several years old. I recently purchased a clean used 2011 Rogue, but all the dealer provided me with were two (2) remote keyless entry fobs. I never received any keys or key number plate, how do I go about getting these or are any keys really required for my car.

If you've got the Intelligent Key (your car has keyless entry and ignition), then you have a key should the fob ever go dead hidden away in the fob itself. Flip the fob over, there should be a slide switch on the right side towards the lower end of the fob. Slide that and pull on the keyring/where the keyring would attach, the key will slide out. All of this is in the owners manual. Here's a link to an image from the manual on changing the battery, which covers the key removal.
