Key fob to work the horn

Hey all,

Since getting my 98 Max SE i never had a key fob, so i bought one online and programmed it and it works great. But the horn does notsound when i lock the doors .

my girlfriend has a 99 I30 and it has that feature...

does anybody know how make the horn chirp when you lock the doors with the remote??? Thanks

You might try holding the lock/unlock buttons at the same time for a few seconds. In newer Nissans/Infinitis, this turns the horn chirp feature on/off. No promises on a '98 model though...

holding the buttons didnt work....i guess because as prev mentioned, its not standard on the 4th gen....
