thats the one i tired before....maybe i should be doing to the other door instead of the drivers door on a jdm if i remember correctly.

on a side not. took 2 rims to a tire place...the scratched the s*** outta the outer rim. so take the other 2 to another tire shop and the add 2 gouges to my rims...then they say i did it...i said bull s*** your man is a liar....so he ask the kid and he says he knows for a fact that it was there before he started which of course means i know he is a liar.

i so hate cars at the moment. Nobody around her gives a f*** and cant even fess up to making a mistake.

Look great. Did you paint the license plate mounting bracket, or is that oem molded?

My local junkyard just got in a J30 last week. Hopefully the turkey vultures haven't stripped her too much yet.

OEM fogs too? Why did you decide to go back and remove all your old posts? A lot of very useful information was lost to this community.

Hello. J30 folks. I just programmed my remote to my car and all those instructions you get from the internet didn't work at all for me. Maybe for some. It happened so quick I don't know exactly how it worked for me but I'll tell you what all I did first sat in the car, locked all the doors with drivers side door lock, then kept pressing the door lock (you should hear a clicking noise) then while you pressing the lock turn the ignition Untill all the hazard lights blink twice after that turn the key to ACC press the door lock button on the remote the doors should lock or you should hear the doors attempt to lock and that should be it the remote should work. It did for me.

Have two remotes which I know work but can't get to program them. I open the trunk and lock the doors but when I insert and remove the key I never get a confirmation. The lights never flash. I'll do it 6 times, more than 6 times still no blinking. I've tried the 300z way, still nothing. I've tried to proceed even without the confirmation and still nothing.

I've programmed a remote on my j30 before and it worked fine and that was about 3 years ago.

Might it be a problem with the ignition? Or maybe something else?

Yes that is the set of instructions i have. When inserting the key six times or more I get no confirmation with the flashers and can not go any further with the instructions.

also tried that one. still nothing after inserting the key six times with or without turning the key. ive tried many many times and cant get the hazards to flash. i have two remotes, one that ive programmed when i first got the car with no problems, and the other is an oem one i found in a j30 at the junk yard. while trying to program the new remote i somehow unprogrammed my old one and now have none that work. maybe i have to replace the box in the trunk? maybe it would be easier to install a whole new security system.

I had the same issue on my Xterra last night. My fix was to reattach the door chime cable (little connector by the ignition switch under the dash) which tells the car the key is in the ignition. If your door chime (when door is open and the key is in switch) is disabled, this might help you.

disconnect the battery, reconnected, follow the fuzzycats instructions but turn the key to the on position 6 times , remove actuate the locks with the door switch. Hopefully you will hear the car go into program mode then. If it does, hit the big grey button on the remote and see if its working. Ive done it three times so far and that's the only way it has worked for me although the remote keeps losing the programming even though Ive replaced the battery twice in the last month.
