key fob & phone = dead fob

I don't know if it my key fob or what !!!! :confused: but i had to put a new battery in every 4 months :tisk: . I have my keys and phone in the same pocket .I don't know if the phone is killing the battery or the battery i buy just suck . Anybody else have this problem ?

Nope, but maybe the battery that you are putting in is old.

how do you know the battery is low? if it's because your dash says your fob battery is low, you can ignore it. my car has said my fob battery is low for 2 years on both of my key fobs.

Yea that too , but i know its going dead because sometime the door will not unlock and i have to push the button twice

Mine did the same thing. The low battery light would go off for about 2 weeks after I changed the battery then come back on.. It was the batteries they sell at wally world. I went to a different store and bought energizer brand instead of ray o vac and no more indicator for ~ 1 yr.

i buy batteries every 3-4 months, i feel you bruh-it sucks a**! ive tried diffrent brands from diffrent stores and it still loses its juice FAST!
MAYBE the fob itself is defective?, idk.
O WELL YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR I GUESS. :gotme

I guess I'm the lucky one, I've only changed my fob battery once in 4 years.

When I bought my AC I was using a Blackberry Bold.....the dealer told me to keep my phone away from my key fob, never put them in the same pocket together....

I really think its my phone ( first Droid og ) it gets hot in my pocket when im outside :confused: , so im try keeping my phone away from the fob until i get a new phone maybe a Droid 3 or Bionic .

i dont remember where i heard/read it. but i was told to NEVER put fob near electronics because it WILL drain the fobs battery. which is why i keep my fob and cell in different pockets.
