Key Fob Functions (G50)

I have a 94 G50. The key fob currently works as follows

-press lock button - lights flash twice, doors lock, no horn beep-hold lock button - alarm goes off, lights flashing, horn beepin-press unlock button - doors unlock, interior lights come on, no horn beep-hold unlock button - front two windows roll down-press light button - interior lights come on-hold light button - nothing (same as pressing it)-press trunk button - nothing (trunk doesnt unlock\pop)

Is my trunk button broken? Is my horn supposed to beep when i lock the car?

I put in a new battery for the fob today

Holding the trunk button should release the trunk.

As for the horn sounding, try this - hold the lock and unlock buttons, to swap between the lights flashing, and the horn honking and the lights flashing. I want to say I did that once for the fun of it. Then realized, I don't want it to honk .

Also, should be press unlock, drivers door unlocks, press unlock button 2 times and all should unlock.

well I can't be much help on a G50 - I have a Y33. Mine does the same thing on the lock - and there was no mention of changing it in the manual, unlike the EVO I had which you could program to do whatever. I wonder if I have the window roll down mode - I never tried holding it down.

As for the trunk button - if the fob is from 1994 I'd be willing to bet that either the contact is dirty or it has just been pressed to death. maybe someone else has cleaned theirs but I'm afraid to try and snap mine apart since I tend to break things......

Could be the trunk latch relay if you hear nothing. Check the posts in Infiniti Mechanic.

-press trunk button - nothing (trunk doesnt unlock\pop)

press AND HOLD trunk button-should open the trunk.

If the valet button is off in the glove box, the remote will not open the trunk no matter how long you hold it in.

vallet is on, button just doenst work for some reason.

and i tried to hold the unlock and lock button to make the horn beep with the alarm but that aint work either
