Key fob clip

I have a couple of used key fobs programmed to my car and recently bought a newly cut key insert for them. These are the physical key inserts that go in the keyless entry key fob.

However the new key inserts came without a clip.

Does anyone know how to remove the clip from the old key and then put it on the new key?

Never tried it but it looks like you need a little allen key to take the clip apart and place it on the new fob.

Its a 1/16 size allen key. I got mine at walmart for a whole dollar.
