So it was raining hard today, my car was out in the parking lot. I somehow triggered the window down/unlock button when i was in vicinity of it this morning. I found out a few hours later, i assume, because my car is drenched.. i have puddles indisde on the car mats and the seats are all soaked. I hate the Fing key.

Aww sorry to hear about that. Maybe you should do like someone else was saying and cover the FOB up. Hmm...I think I might do that from now on too because it's rainy season here.

Sorry about that.

I know the feeling. I left my Moonroof open when I had my '02 Acura RSX, which cause some serious problems.

I hope things are alright. Did you talk to Nissan, your dealer?

What about disconnecting your battery? Then in order for your fob--roll down feature to function, you must manually reprogram it?

No more accidentally unrolling your windows! Not the greatest feature in world since they won't roll back up!

I read this in one of Tyler's threads, I believe.

Just a thought!

Disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a short period of time will disable the Auto up/down feature on the inside switches. I can't confirm that it also disables the key-fob auto down feature though. Try it

Thanks for the clarification Tyler! I may have misread that previous thread.

Damn, that really sucks. Really. Hope water didn't affect the leather and/or electronics. That would really suck.

Is it just me or is the key fob poorly design? I seems that I set off the alarm accidentally quite often just having the key in my pocket. Any other similar experiences?

I've set off my alarm on quite a few ocassions myself. I think the mistake they made was not having the buttons set inward; they sit flush with the body so the buttons are easily pushed in.

Sounds like a bad case of Premature KeyFobulation!

All jokes aside--I'll have to pay more attention myself, knowing that this is serious stuff. Thanks for the info fellas.

You guys must be wearing some tight jeans or something I've never had an issue with hitting the buttons unintentionally. Knock on wood.

Yeah, I should buy looser fitting jeans, huh?

J/K I think the one of my keys or keychain pushes up against the FOB when I'm getting out of the car.
