Decided to changed FOB batteries on my 2018 Rogue (3+ years old). Simple 5 minute process. Then I started to have new issues; couldn't unlock car using the door handle button and invalid key messages. Checked the battery voltages, all good. When examining the battery it appeared that the new 2032 battery was a little thinner than the original. How can that be? A 2032 battery should be 20mm x 3.2mm as the name implies. Measuring new vs. old was a .18mm difference. (3.18mm vs 3.00mm). So I purchased Eveready 2032s and they measured correctly at 3.18mm, just like the originals. No more issues. Hope this helps.
