i went to a nissan dealer for them to make a new key for my car, and when they ran my VIN #, a key code didn't show up. He also said that the VIN # didn't show the original dealer it was sold at...i also don't have a code in my glovebox or ashtray....any ideas on how i can make a key? what's up with my VIN #?

What he's referring to is cutting a key after obtaining a key code. This is not something that can be done at Walmart or any other place where you would have a key duplicated. Two entirely different processes.

If your dealer cannot find the code, contact Professional Key Codes Inc. Ron Hertz owns this company and if he can't get the code, there is no one on Earth that can. If he questions you on how you found him, tell him that you were referred by a recovery agent from the Recovery Solutions Agent Association Conference in Nashville last August. He'll know what you're talking about.

His phone is 888-456-1888. He does not have a site or email as far as I know. Good luck!

as repo man said, i need to make a key from a key code, not from another key.

repo man: i'm not sure how it will be done, but i live on the west coast (southern california). how can ron hertz find my keycode without the car? would it be cheaper just to replace all the locks on my car? (since the passenger and hatch locks don't even work anymore)

He is the key code wizard, that's how. He will need your VIN. The difference between him and a dealer is that key codes and such are his business. The dealer just doesn't give a damn. If it's not in his computer and easily accessible, it must not exist, right? Wrong.

You can do it that way or you can simply have a locksmith come and make you a key. He would do this onsite and trust me, he knows how to do it. I wouldn't pay any more than $85 for this service.

Let me know if you have any other questions. You may email me if you like. [email protected]
