Key and keyless remote

Anyone know a locksmith who can make a key for a 95 Q45, or someplace else that will do one cheaper than the $130 that my dealership wants?

Also, anyone know how to program a factory remote for this model? I found a remote in good condition on ebay.

Programming instructions should come with the remote......

A locksmith would be able to make a key cheaper than that, maybe 50....... less if you bring in your own blank (ebay).......

But to reprogram the remote

get in the car, close and lock all doorsopen the trunkinsert the key in and out at least 6 times within 10 secondsunlock and lock the DRIVERS SIDE lockpress the lock button on the remotethe hazard lights will blink, and you're done!!!

if I do this, what will happen with my existing remote? will both of the remotes then work when I go through this type of procedure? Don't I need to do anything to the actual remote itself? Or does it pick up the programming by being near the car when this is done? I'm obviously very confused at how exactly this works. :rolleyes

my remote stopped working a few months ago, i went to infinity last week they said my remote was fine, it seams as if your alarm is disconnected I assured them it was not because my wife's remote still worksthey said bring in both remotes and car next week and they will help me. I got my wifes remote and now it does not workany ideas???

You will have to reprogram all remotes...... My remote only works sometimes, so I may have to get a new one.......

Sometimes, I can just reprogram, and it works fine.... Other times, its not so easy..... Replacing the battery is always helpful.......

Ok, this is how the programming works......

You lock the doors and open the trunk to get to the mode....... Then when you do the key thing, it erases the old code.....when you lock and unlock the door, it is ready to accept a new code...... then you press the button on the remote to send the new code, and then you are done......

To program more than 1 remote, simply repeat the last 2 steps......
