I want to get a double-din head unit to replace my 08 Z non-bose unit. And I found this

Kenwood DPX503 - runs for $320 at Crutchfield

BLUETOOTH - OPTIONAL

Is this a good unit?

Or should I pick this Pioneer FH-P8000BT unit?

What do you mean by "good"? It depends on what you want from the unit itself. Personally I like the ones that are a big screen that can also play DVD's.

Well, I can't afford to spend like $500 unit or up. I just want to replace the stock unit with something better and nicer. And I'm planning to replace the speakers as well. I know without adding subwoofer and amp, the audio system is incomplete, but I need to save up the money for body kit

Hmm ok. What kind of kit do you want to get? If I were you, I would save the money because I would want to get an elite system. If that is not the case, then either of these seem fine for what you want.

Forget both of those. You need the Alpine w404. This unit is sick, and this will give you amazing audio. Especially if you add the imprint. From what I have been told, The imprint system is the best on the market, but you haft to have a alpine deck to run it. Plus you eventually add Nav to it as well. Email Broadfield about a price and I am sure he will hook you up alot better than the Alpine home page price. Plus he is a authorized dealer. Did I mention this unit is touch screen.

This unit is exactly what you want, great sound, looks good, alot of potential, and affordable. It may be a little more than you planned. But in the end you will glad you wanted a little longer to get a nuch better system. I used to buy what I could afford at the time. Then a few months later I was un happy with it and had to spend more money to get what I really wanted in the first place. Do things right the first time and it will actually be alot cheaper than doing them twice.

I don't think this unit is available yet.. from my understanding, Alpine wont be releasing these until close to May...

it has a lot of potential though.. Alpine makes some great headunits!

ALso, I agree about saving until you get what you really want... always comes out cheaper

I was wondering why the only site that had it was alpines. hahaha But it looks pretty promising. Has some pretty sick features and if Alpine is selling it for $550, that means it will probably go for around $400 which doesnt seem bad at all.
