yup, ate some understeer and got the front end of the bird into a ditch, had the back drivers side wheel about a foot off the ground...

I need something that gets better wet pavement traction...

any recommendations for a 225 60 16 all season performance tire?

dude the yoko AVS ES 100 is wat i consider one of the greatest tires of all time, multiple buddies are runnin em and they just plain kick ***, they blow F1 GS-D3s and SP Sport 9000s out of the water, plus they're cheap, wat more do u need?

actually, they are pretty gay for really hard driving we seem to be finding, you have to shave them for the rear or else they will chunk off if you go drifting on them, and we had one flake off a chunk of a front, and one brand new front blow out at TDD5 last night.

Azenis Sport is the way to go, but they suck in the rain by most accounts, thats why I didn't recommend them.

ah well the thing is, understeer is understeer, he may make it out of a corner, but it will be minus a piece of that nice flaky V pattern, or who knows, it just may blow out all together!

haha, no, I have done a few nice power overs in it though....

I was more or less doing normal driving IF the road were dry, it's apparently a mother****er wet...

it's one of those tarred gravel roads, I seemed to have hit a spot that was entirely tar and wet.

it's a really sticky road when it's dry though:D

I think I'm gonna get 18's on it before long though, maybe before a new bumper and paint:D it's gotta be that much more ghetto.

The AVS ES100 is a great tire. Grippy (not the kind of thing you'd want to go drifting with, but why would you get a 240 for drifting when sticking is so much more fun? :-)), and decent treadlife considering. Just tonight, as a matter of fact, I went for a little drive on route 7 in Litchfield County, CT (where I live, and Lime Rock is a hour north on route 7 . . . people taking that route have a nice curvy road to play on ;-)), and I went through a corner I've taken quite a few times, but I felt like going a little faster than normal tonight . . . those things just bit into the ground like you wouldn't believe, a definite smile inducer.

Oh, and they're great in the rain too. :-) Snow, you obviously wouldn't want to drive in, but I made it through this past New England winter without much of a problem (once the road crews put some sand down, I could get around easily enough, without much danger). A definite recommendation from me . . .

BFG Touring TA HR4 aren't a great tire but they are cheap and safe in the wet. use them as daily drivers.

Now i know you are crazy. although sticking is faster, you cannot deny the want to get that biatch sideways. I got these rain tires from Dunlop that i love, even though they are kinda expensive. And they are very compatible with drifting IN the rain and on dry pavement.

Heh, getting the 240 sideways is fun in rain or snow, but when it's dry out, all I want to do is go through a corner as fast as possible without any understeer or oversteer. :-) And for that, the AVS ES100's are awesome . . . ;-)

oh, I plan on getting another Nissan, but the Bird stays.

it's like a one eyed three legged dog that's faster then some 4 legged dogs and has a heart of gold.

It only counts as drifting if you do it on dry land, and not through ditches. :D :D :D :D

shoulda seen it, in all my awesomeness, I had the back wheel a foot off the ground yet 2 inches to spare from the bumper touching ground and about the same from any of the chassis touching.

it didn't even scrape upon pulling it out:D

At least that horse could take a beating. Reminds me of my friend jumping his Sentra over three foot snow banks. Hard hit, but it was fun. I actaully bought that one from him. Good car.
