Well... I get an email from the company I ordered my Kei Office XT-Alpha's from:

Quote »I just got contacted from our friend on the suspensions. I guess Kei office was acutally sold out and out of stock on the Type XT-A but they got some type XT and the Type XR coming in within 3weeks along with all the other products coming in from japan in the container. So as of now there what there is to due is if you want to wait for the XT-A we could have them purchased as soon as kei office japan gets them in stock or we could refund you the difference if you purchase the XT or the XR. The only difference between the XT and the XT-a is the helper springs which could be purchased seperately. I am sorry about this whole mishap and inconvinience.[/quote]

So now I'm faced with a little dilemma... do I order the XT's with the helpers instead (and hopefully get them in 3 weeks), get a refund and order FLT's or HE's and Ti exhaust, or order the FLT's or HE's with 2 Recaro SPG's... the crazy thing is they all come out to about the same price +/- a couple hundred.

I am really leaning toward the HE's with Recaro's now due to the fact that both are in the state's and ready to ship... I'd love some outside opinions though.

Does anyone have experiance with Kei Office? Would it really be worth the significantly extra $$ for those? The other issue is the streetablility of having 9kg frt / 7kg rear spring rates with the KO's...

I am curious to hear back about those spring rates as well. I am currently looking into the XR set.

i think the differance that 2 seats or a ti exhaust would make would outweigh the advantages of kei office.

The SPG's are pimp seats. I was drooling over some black SPG's in a yellow Porsche GT3 at Road Atlanta one HPDE weekend. So I'd say you'd definitely get more "enjoyment" out of the HE's + the 2 SPG's.

Get some 6-pt harnesses and a rollbar though. A fixed back seat and no rollover protection is a BAD thing if you drive it hard at all(which I hope you'll be doing). Safety is number 1 because you never know what is going to happen out there.

man dont get titanium exhaust lol. also dont get a pass seat. save that cash. i did the expensive exhaust thing one time, its NOT worth it. roll bar and megan racing exhaust > greddy exhaust. deffinitley.

Well... after a weekend of thinking about it. I've decided on this choice actually. Don't worry... Takata harnesses are following shortly after the seats and HE's.

I was wanting to make my own exhaust anyway... I'm going to make a custom 3" or 3.5" SS (pays to have your own welder) turbo back system with 1 or 2 dynomax race mufflers (perf core/straight through) somewhere mid-car and no muffler exposed out of the back... only pipe pointing toward the driver side.

Maybe you'll have to stop by Charleston, SC sometime Def and see how it turns out

Well, it seems they have managed to get a hold of some XT-alphas... so that makes my decision for me. Since they were purchased directly from Kei Office in Japan... now it's just more waiting. I guess this is the price you pay to have the best and to be unique. They said they will try to compensate me for my 2.5 month wait... we will see.... I told them money or a Nismo FPR would be nice.

Sounds good, those really are nice coilovers, so I don't think you made a bad choice.

How bout you come down to Road Atlanta for a DE sometime and we can shoot the chit between track sessions. :)
