This is the third winter I have driven my vert in. I don't put snow tires on, I run Grand Touring All Seasons year round. With just being a little careful, I have never gotten stuck, or not been able to navigate to where I want to go in this car. I expected it to act much more like a Camaro in the snow (absolutly useless) but much to my surprise, it does amazingly well, much better then I ever expected! Has anyone else noticed this?

Up here in Ontario most S13 chucki came with VLSD and are fun to drive in the winter. My daughter's s13 zenki coupe came without it and was a pain in the winter - switched to VLSD and she's had no problems. As I understand it all verts came without VLSD and I am considering upgrading mine but definitely not driving it in the winter as the use of salt here kills the S13s. All three of my kids drive their S13s in the winter and are fine with it but they all have VLSD. Our other 3 S13s (including the vert.) are not driven in the winter and keep much better that way.

i run high performance summer tires all year round on the s13 vert...

snow sounds fun. i can barely stand the 40-50 degree lows we are getting right now, though.

having a car w/ traction control & abs (daily driver) in the rain is great - :-D

Yeah, been down to 15 or so here last couple days, highs around 32, all the way to 38 by Thursday though.

REALLY need to crank my Vert, but with weather like this its hard to do it. Only 3 more weeks til its on Jackstands for a while.
