Take a look at my wiring diagram and tell me if you can see anything wrong with how the relay and fans are configured. The intended operation is that when I turn on the stereo, the fans come on to keep the amp cool, then shut off when the stereo is not playing. I have everything installed and working right now, except the relay/fans, which I am adding. The fans in question are just standard 12v computer case fans, BTW.
