keeping jumping timming

i just check my timing and is not at 15* . when the last time i did my timing it was at 15* right on the dot. what cause that? also when i un-plug the tps the rpm dont drop? help me out guys. thanks

I have the same wierd problem whit idel not dropping when I unplug tps but the weird thing is that when I plug in my friends ecu idol drops but not whit maen. What sr do you have and what ecu?

make sure u tighten tha bolts onthe botton of tha CAS aswell as tha top

sr red top with 62 ecu. yea i check all my bolt are tight.

are you setting the timing while your motor is warm? how bad is the timing changing? it's not going to stay exactly 15 because the ecu adjusts it.

Make sure you rev the engine 3 times before you start checking the timing, with the TPS unplugged. This sets the ECU into timing mode.

Timing jumped around 2-3 degrees on my NX before I did this.

yes, the motor is warm up compeletely.

ok nismo freak ill give it a try rev the motor 3 time... im sure i did that . now my motor keep popping eveytime i shaft ? timming off ?

Thats normal, you more than likely have an atmospherically vented BOV and when it opens it vents air, the motor runs very rich for a moment, and this rich mixture ignites as it leaves the muffler.

did my timing again today and it was good......rev the engine 3 times before i start checking the timing, with the TPS unplugged. timing is good now it stay at 15* and it dont pop everytime i shaft very smooth too... thanks guys.....
