i am gunna be installing a fuel cooler on my new setup and i heard varying things about where to put it, sofar it looks liek my fuel setup is this a bosch supra fuel pump (flows 290 lph) with a in line pump going to a stock rail with a synapse fpr. where should i put the fuel cooler, once i was told to put it before the rail, and another time i was told to place it on the return line, should i put it on both, the coolers only cost around 30 bux plus like 10 bux ti adapt the lines as anyone else run a fuel cooler ?

Unless your racing for a cash prize of a million dollars, you shouldn't even consider having one.

Are you building your car just so you can have the biggest mod list?

With such a large pump you will be bypassing/returning a lot of fuel to the tank. I could see where this would heat up the fuel and a cooler wouldn't hurt.

for the cost which is under 100 dollers and my time i think its worth it, its not a contest to have the largest mod list so much as it is to have a ultra reliable car, so you decide do you think 100 dollers plus an hour or so of your time is worth the peace of mind ?

ive never in my life heard of a car having issues with "hot" fuel with the exception of some SERIOUS high HP vehicles.

the gas going into your engine is cooler than your air charge unless you have alchy injection or something similar.

The cooler your fuel is the better.

I would worry about other things first though,That would be better after the motor is built and wired.

It's not gonna be a huge gain but all the little ones add up.

If you are running into Vapor lock problems WHEN your car is running, then sure, add one, but don't bother if you aren't having the problem.

its suprising how hot the fuel gets...my car will boil the fuel in the rail after a highway cruise and can make it hard to restart.

just make sure your fuel cooler is rated for the pressures of fuel injection, most fuel coolers i see are for carbed motors.
