This forum moves slowly, so ill make some new topics. Hopefully we can get it moving in here!

Anyway, as many of you know from reading my last post. I will be rebuilding my ca this winter. Quick run down. Stock pistons and rods (if they check out good) Acl bearings, cometic mls head gasket (probably). New valve seals, etc etc. I have a non divided s15 bb gt28r on my car now. Should I keep this and get the car tuned or shall I go t3/t4 50 trim. The car will be used at the open drift sessions here and just plain driven. Also some 1/8th mile passes. I would like to still have some response for the track, but its a small track and I won't ever have the money to drive 2 hours to drift! So drift is not my priority.
* Now my question about the 50 trim is: if I go with the .48r will my top end improve over the 28r? And if I go .63 ar, will it be significantly more laggy the 28r? The car will be dyno tuned with whatever turbo I go with.

Ideally Id like a 2871r but funds will not allow this! I work part time and school it full time, lol.

Also, while I am flooding this forum. Anyone have any cam recommendations? I was thinking the tomei poncams, but perhaps I should get go pro cams,260 duration with 8.8 lift.

Thanks for reading another one of my posts. I sear A LOT, but never get much clarity.

Double your pleasure. Buy my GT28 and run two of them. Two is always better than one, right?

I've been debating on what turbo setup to use later on down the road. I've came to the conclusion that for the price, the T3/T4 is cheaper and provides the same numbers as the 2871r can. I'm not sure on the spool of the different trims though, but some people are running 11's or 12's with T3/T4's so the lag can't be that bad..can it?

Exactly my question, I want the the t3/to4e with the stage III wheel, i know the .48r will be as responsive at my bb gt28. The only thing I can't find any real info on is how the .63 ar will be! I will be drifting this car at the local track, nothing competitive. And looking for a badass ca18 in general. Any help on this subject would be cool beans.

I run a T3 with .60 A/R, I was told it was a super 60 and I'm sure it is. With the .60 trim turbo, I can get full boost at a reasonable RPM (3600-3800, i can't remember) however it takes some time getting there. There is noticeable lag, when you're not in boost. My DD's are both turbo'd cars and the response from the gas pedal to power is instantaneous compared to my Silvia. The Silvia just blows the doors off both cars...

Well, I've been driving all motor honda's for a long time. So I am accustomed to driving within a power band. My last civic hatch with a built all motor gsr made 211whp, powerband started at 6250 and ran to 9300 so. Back on topic, anyone running a t3/to4e .63?
