Just like the title says, I'm debating if I should use power steering on my drag sentra or use some muscle. No power steering equals clean install and engine, but very stiff steering. Power steering equals hoses, a resevoir and some easy steering. I rarely ask for your stinkin' opinions , but I wanna know how the family is thinking. Even though most of you are cheap as hell and don't listen or search, I still love you guys.

If you're just using it for drags and not as a dd ditch the ps!!!!!! Because you'll only be making a few left hand turns lmao jk jk. But yeah if it's for drag only who needs it, plus you can sell tickets to the "gun show" afterwards lmao

But its a FWD, so its probably gonna have some WIDE a** tires on it, making turning it that much harder. I say put it on there, its not like its gonna rob that much power.

I would ditch it. I don't have power steering in my s13, and though kind of a pain to parallel park, its not a big deal. At 2670lbs (w/o me) I'll bet it outweighs your b12 by a lot.

You had to go there, huh I have something brewing for that ayess. If I can produce an 11 or 10 second fwd sentra whether it'swith the B12 or the CA18DET powered B13 sentra, will you make it up to me by placing your balls on the exhaust manifold just after I reach those goals? nothing like popcorn or roasted nuts .

You might a** well keep it and make it easier on your self to turn. Plus it does not hurt to have a little extra weight over those front tires if you are going to be making some real power.

i say ditch it. Less weight, less parasitic loss, better feel and control (altho it is FWD it does help). and yes CLEANER! ALWAYS BETTER =)

Lose the power steering... I don't have it on my Pulsar, and don't miss it. Granted, I'm only running 195s, but when I'm not at a complete standstill the steering is still silky smooth.

this thing is terrible at rounding it says 88% and 11%, what happened to the other 1%, i think that 11 needs to be rounded from11 to 12.... since it does equal about 11.7... poor rounding lol

would be great to meet up with you sometime... but alas, i'm without the ability to drive at the moment I screwed up my clutch knee really bad a few weeks back. and i think brad is out of the country for work... but i'm not 100% sure. And on a semi almost related note, i'm not sure if you're aware of it or not but i bought myself a new DD so i can have the pulsar off the road for an engine rebuild (plus transmission replacement/upgrade). I got me a 1984 200sx Notchback

but anyway, shoot me an email or a text (email'd probably be best... jamie dot mazikowski at gmail dot com) and we can see about maybe meeting up or something hell, i might be able to drive by then, who knows.

I've got two B12 sentras, neither one had power steering...course they also came with "pinto" tires thats about as wide as my kids tricycles...

I don't think weight is much of a difference, both power and non-power cars have about the same size rack & pinion sets, your talking maybe a 3 lb difference max. The parasitic affect on pullies would be about your only downfall.

If I drove a 55 Chevy with 10 inch wide tires w/o power steering for 9 years, it should be cake on a sentra. Though I did break my 55's steering column parallel parking once...

I'd say ditch it. But it kinda depends on what kinda diff your going to use. I've made a 1/4 mile pull with a fwd car that had big slicks and a spool. Very, VERY tough to muscle around the pits. Not bad on the track though, Until your going just a little too fast exiting. SCARY
