damn it!! i love the way my pearl white 98 240sx looks and handles and sounds, just love it, but...where's the damn power??? i love the "shark eyes" and sweet leather interior, but damn it, ive always loved the trans ams, especially the new models, should i just keep my s14 or sell it and get a trans am? i saw this black one, t tops, 6spd, v8, all black, man, so sweet, and that owesome v8 throaty sound, i know id have to work on the suspension, interior and strip the car a bit, by my gf absolutely loves my car and so do i, should i keep it andwait till i can afford investng in a sr motor? I'll take 3-4gs to add a sr motor and that will only get to keep up a trans am, that t/a is selling for 16gs, 30k miles, help me!!!any input is greatly appreciated.

TA's are amazing cars, you guys are wayyyyyyyy too biased to admit it :)

My 2 cousins (24 year old owns a 2000 red ram air, 27 year old owns a 2001 silver ram air). Those cars are FAST. I haven't been in many cars what can push my head into the seat when they accelerate.

Sorry to say it, but you'll need well over $6,000 to make a 240 do that ;)

I think if i had to, i'd put my money on a stock ram air TA against a 240 with $6,000 worth of work done to it.

I would like to think the 240 would win.

well sorry to dissapoint some of you guys but ive made my desicion, i will not be getting rid of my 240, especially for fu*king 5k, lol, t/a are amazing cars, ive always loved them, but i figured that they are much more common than a 240, and you are kind of expected to be fast, in a 240, ur not, so if you have a built motor and surprise all the ricers who think they only way to make a car fast is by getting a hatchbackand adding a type R motor. ill keep my car, mod it, till there's nothing else for me to do to it, then start with a t/a, can you say t/a with a twin turbo kit?? pure ownage.

I actually considered the exact same switch. I work at a Pontiac/GMC/Caddy dealership and we got in a 2k WS6, same color as my car, black int, 6 speed...forgot the mileage but I know it was low and I could have gotten the car for about 13g's cuz I work there. I thought about picking that up and sticking a supercharger on it..twin turbos under the hood of that would be a lil too tight I think..but anything is possible with enough money...anyway, as you can see, I decided to keep my 240 and do it up. I think you made the right choice too.

The T/A would be fast, but I'm 100% sure a 240 with 6k worth of engine work would take a T/A pretty good. Plus, when you pull up next to somone with a T/A they know it's fast, it's no a sleeper, it's a big fast V8. When you pull up next to a T/A in your 240 what do ya think the T/A person will be thinking?

I was thinking about getting a Fbody V8 car but it's just not me. I know I wouldnt be happy. My friend got a 1995 TransAm.. It runs 14s, it's fast. But he want a Turbo Mr2, he's going to sell the T/A for a slower car. Go figure...

David.

AHhhhhhhh man no! I know people already posted this but, use that money and invest into yur 240! I guarentee w/ the money you dont spend on that transam your 240 will be jus as fast. Plus a 240 can run circles around a trans am in the twisties! PLus it will look better! Plus it wont be stock! Plus you get to her that turbo spooling up! Plus you can go sleeper! dont do it, 240's look so sweet!

Thanx for the compliment. The wheels are 18x7.5 NZO Mantas.
