well guess what happened to me today. i'm cruising down a local highway going to get my hair cut then all the sudden my car starts making a weird noise, almost like my muffler had fallen off... so i pull into a jewel parking lot and it dies. looks like the rocker arms or rods or something is broken. too much to fix, and its not even worth it, the mechanic said it would cost almost as much as droppin in a new engine. so after i get it towed to my house i plan on parting it out, figure that'd be the best way to get some $$ out of it. so anyone looking for parts from an 89 240sx FB, check in the classifieds section either tonight or tomorrow and i'll try to have a list of what is good to part out.

that sucks, but you should do a swap or sell it as a shell or just drop in a new KA yourself. it seems like a shame to tear apart an otherwise good car when engines are so plentiful.

well i still haven't gotten any word on the car, its only been a few days. there are a few reasons i'm just parting it out, the first is it's not really worth fixing (or replacing the engine) because the body is in such bad shape. and i also don't have the money for that right now. i just replaced the starter and some other repairs (6 days before it broke down) and that was a few hundred $$, down the drain. i'll post in the classifieds parts forum as soon as i get the car back...
