Minor perk I know, but I always was impressed with import cars over domestics b/c I could shut the engine off and keep the stereo going uninterrupted. Maybe that's changed "recently" (i.e., over the past 20 yrs) and domestics do that now...

...anyway, is there any way to use the Intelligent Key system to shut off the engine but to keep the ignition in ACC mode?

would be nice if there's such an option, not like going from ON to ACC then OFF but perhaps press the brakes and turn OFF or something to get to ACC would be nice.

are you trying to keep the radio and other electronics on after turning off the engine?if thats the case, while you are in park with the engine on, push the On button rapidly twice. this should turn off the engine but leave the electronics on uninterrupted

Yes, I also noticed that this is a bit of an inconvenience because when you turn off engines, you have to go to acc to have the radio, and then back to on to get to off. With a regular key, its more straightforward.

I know that Mercedes Benz cars can have the radio on while the car is completely turned off.

For the 6M/T its easy, just don't press the clutch in, one push goes to ACC the 2nd to ON.

He meant when the engine was already running. He wants to shut off the car, keeping it in ACC without an interruption.

Hmmm...I've tried that, but couldn't get it to work. I guess I will try harder.

No matter if you've driven a stick all your life, we all that 'duh' moment...Remember, we as humans make on average 5-10 human perormance mistakes per hour if not more, allthough most inconsequential it still happens.
