hi i am new here

i successfully made some power out of the car...modificationsihivf30 turbo external wastegate mounted on stock manifoldfmic with ss pipings3 cat backavcrsafcstock injectorsstock mafstock ecustock clutch

i tuned the car on 7 psi safe boost for some nice power ,becuz its a lightweight car

results were better thn a supra 2jz stock..but heard piston slap on number 3...

then opened the motor to findout it was a spun bearing..i had a spare block completely fine only oil pump was finished ...so i borrowed a piston and a bearing from it...i again start the new build ok f9 but after 100 kms same problems.......

i have left some spares such as3 pistons ok and 3 bearigs okand a crankshaft

wht could be the causeecuoil pump or oulrod boltplz help

Never seen a VF30 mounted on the CA18 so indeed it is something different.

You say it acts better than the T28, wow that is impressive, i never even bothered trying a VF30.What do the powerbands look like?

T28 on the stock mani will get you a nice powerband with full boost(12ish) pretty early, but unless you go really high boost you wont be making much past(if at all) 300HP

Post pics im really intrigued.

Im not sure whats could be causing your problem cuz ive never had that happen to me or any friends twice.

As for uploading pics just go to imageshack.usupload pictures from your computer, then get the link codes from imageshack and post them in this thread.

btw. boost_boy and Float will most likely respond to your thread on monday, they are some of the most knowledgeable people i know when it comes to the CA.

Ive always been told that you never replace 1 piston at a time, but do it as a set so that they are all at the same wear cycle. I would think this has alot to do with the issue you keep having. You may want to check out that crank and make sure it is healthy as well.

the stock rods are rediculously strong. IIRC the are good for atleast 600whp....

you desparately need to look at your fuel situation if you want to make more power. 550s at a min......

you are doing a lot of things to dance AROUND the stock ECU......... get that SOB tuned and stop trying to work around it. Tuning is going to be your biggest fail point.

I assume you are getting your head milled and valves done too?
