Recently I've picked up a set of Kazama tie rods. This was after much debate as to what's "beefier" and "more durable. However I was grossly disappointed to find little to no real numbers on any of these parts, just alot of hearsay.

I'm hoping this will be the start of a database of some of the dimensions of these suspension parts to quell future debate and flames.

Inner tie rod dimensions:thickest portion (closest to the rack): 1.93cm or ~0.75"main shaft (middle of the inner tie rod): 1.60cm or ~0.63"threaded section (where the outer tie rod screws on): 1.12cm or ~0.44"

Outer tie rod dimensions:Large red portion that meets to the inner tie rod: 2.08cm or ~0.82"threaded section (between the pivot and large red portion): 1.27cm or ~0.50"threaded section length: 2.80cm or ~1.10"adjustability for bump steer: 8mm and 4mm spacers included

unfortunately rod and rod end strength is determined by a combination of thickness of material, quality of manufacturing, and type of material. Measurements of length and width alone don't tell much.

What I do know is that I have never heard of a single instance of SPL's tie rod's breaking, they have the largest amount of bumpsteer adjustment, and their rod ends can support the largest amount of missalignment.
