For the stock manifold? I'll sell you mine.

If its aftermarket I assume you want something to protect the stuff around it, you can get a reflective blanket. You can get enough to cover most of the stuff around it for about $12. Or you could use that exhaust wrap stuff from autozone or NAPA for about $30.

I don't exactly get what your asking though...

There's no reason to remove it if you have the stock manifold. It's hideous, leave the cover there until you get a tubular manifold or something of the sort...

I think that MR sells one also for your BMC. What turbo are you running b/c i have a t28 an no heat sheild at all and no probs here. I even got worried that my BMC was gonna melt a lil but i drove home from work, Tampa traffic at 5:00, and i got home an hour and a half later and the BMC felt fine.

From what I've read it's just sheet metal so everyone uses that when making their own. I acutally made a post asking about whats the best way to protect the brake cylinder and a guy showed me this thread where he made his own heatsheild.http://forums2.nicoclub.com/sh...66922

And if you're worried about it then just do it. It's better to spend the money making it (or buying it) then having to spend the money on whatever happens to you/yourcar when that thing melts!

Adrian, that's a brake master cylinder heat shield. megan sells one, enjuku and phase2 sell them (I don't know if any of the other sponsers/advertisers do). It's about $40+ shipping. I'm going to get one too.

yeah I have an aftermarket tubular and it wouldn't melt anything but the rubber hose going to the block. Your pretty much safe, hell, throw a pan on it and cook a quesadilla =D
