i have started collecting all my parts for my KAT and i have chosen CP pistons because i can get them dirt cheap (live near eastern division) i have the KADE pistons which are a 9:1 but the KAE are 8:1. the only reason i want to change now is my GF need to do a bottom end build on her car so I'm either giving her my current pistons or buy another set of piston for her. now my question is when i build this thing could i use the KAE pistons with no problems? I'm assuming yes they are the same bore for each just lower ratio is all i know.

this is my first KA build so i don't really know all the details of the internals but i have built a 4g63 and a 420a and they are still running 5 years later

i think cp custom make different compression for the DE, it should be different for the sohc and dohc, you should go w/ something like 8.8:1, it will be perfect for boost. also you should get .020" bore just to make sure everything is good. also paradiseracing.com have a special for arias piston 350 shipped.(not sure if they still offer it)

BTW are you upgrading piston and not upgrading rods?, because the it will be half @ss if you are tearing up the motor and not upgrading rods.

how cheap is dirt cheap for the pistons? I live in Greensboro NC and I need a set of forged piston asap.

oh and you can use ka-e pistons just be sure that the cr is low enough to allow you to boost safely. I would talk to some one at cp about that.

WOW!!! Man that is a great deal. Hey I really need those pistons. Is there any way you could help me out in getting a set? I called them directly and they wanted $600. I don't have much money but I will hook you up with some beer money at least for helping me out. Please let me know. I would happily drive down there from Greensboro.
