Karma is a funny thing. My Q45 has been for sale on CL and I posted here earlier today (see Classified Section). It seems that my Q45 got wind of the fact that I am going to sell it and guess what? It started acting up. A few months ago, after I replaced the knock sensors and the coolant and gas hoses under the plenum, the engine began running warm at freeway speeds. I suspected a possible head gasket leak into the cooling system and tested it with one of those chemical testers that detects combustion gases in the coolant. It tested fine, twice. Since the radiator tank was leaking as well, I installed a new radiator and burped the cooling system. Car has been running fine until this afternoon. It ran without issue for about an hour on surface streets but once on the expressway at 50+ mph, the temp began to rise again. I don't want to sell it to an unsuspecting buyer who is not able to commit the resources to make it well. The car is otherwise too nice to junk but I am DONE with wrenching on it. So I appeal to those of you in the SF Bay Area who either want to part it out or fix it. What is it worth to you? If you are serious, contact me at

The California Air Resources board will give me $1000 to junk it. The car deserves a chance, but that means one of you needs to step up to the plate. At this point I am looking for the best cash offer by Sunday or it goes to the wrecker on Monday. Car is in San Jose.
