I was just told that in order to cover my car I would need about 2 quarts. Does this sound right?

it depends on what type kameleon, some kam's are friggin awesome on anything, and actually look like a factory color

don't do it unless your building a 100% show car!.

if your get it a scratch, or your car gets keyed or anything like that, you can't touch it up, your whole car needs to be repainted. or the paint will be very noticable, it won't change colors with the rest of the paint it will be like a diferent paintjob over that one part,

same goes with you decided to put on, or change your body kit.

ok... lets be reasonable. dude...its just not gonna fly. make a list on paper of pro's and con's if you got your 240 kam'd. then make a list of pro's and con's of what your 240 would be like in 2009 after being kameleonized. let the old girl at least go to the nursing home sane.

I guess its more of a pearlescent than a khameleon paint, but the topaz pearlescent that looks white/baby blue on TVR speed 6 and speed 12s would look awesome on my 93 coupe instead of the stock white I think.

uh Whats so bad about a chameleon paint?

I saw one from Europe posted on this board about 4 months ago and it was stock body, everyone liked it, and it looked good too

hating a type of paint is kind of funny. doesn't everyone have different tastes? i wouldn't get it though...isn't that job like 3grand!

Hey, my 240 is running for shiz right now, so to hear someone thaat has one running well enought to soak it in kam color, well, that kinda makes me smile. In response to the don't do it folks... you're right.... at least not the full rainbow stuff. A nice blue that shifts to a silver would be cool, if it is buried in clear. HOK makes a cool color shift paint that doesn't look ghetto. Another option is to choose your solid base color, and bathe it in HOK chameleon base ( I think that is what they call it!) It has all the color shift of kam, the coolness of pearl, and the behavior of any clear coat!!! It is not a clear coat, but I have been told that it goes on like a clear. Make sense???? Hope that helps.... but seriously, I have to join in on the flaming.... if you do the full blown kam rainbow stuff, just follow through with curb feelers and 22" gold spoke rims... OH, AND HYDRAULICS... AND CHAIN STEERING WHEEL, AND......

kameleon is nice but expensiveu will be lookin to spend about $2k on just the colornot to mention u need clear coat and primerbecause kameleon is like $500 a pintpost some pics after you paint it

i got lucky and got the the whole gallon for $400 with clear coat, black base, and dark gray primer. I am getting it painted in three weeks from a local for $500. So I got lucky. I will post pics when I get it painted. I got the millenium body kit and shogun spoiler to go on. Also, I will be attending the 240sx convention in August. Hope to see some of you there. true 240 lovers are going to be there! Atlanta, ga.

i hope your painter is a good one that has sprayed kameleon beforeif not your car will look blotchyand when you spray your car kameleon a lot of people look how good it is sprayedi know this because im a custom painter

he knows what he is doing. He has done three custom show car here in town. 1 of which was an eclipse in one of last years sports compact car mags.

well regardless of what all these bashers think.. i would love to paint my car wit kameleon.. i mean fukk that.. why is it a rice thing? just because u dont want ur car to be "jdm" or whatever ur a ricer?? stupid.. Didnt someone is SCC have a 240 with kamel. paint? They said it took 7 quarts @$200 something a quart, it looked ok for a show car...
