i have a KADE and i had to replace a water hose running from under the intake manifold to this thing on the firewall. the car started fine before i replaced the hose but now that its replaced the car wont even try to crank over... i dont have the slightest clue what is wrong. my guess is sumthin to do with the battery??? i know the starter was in the area i was working around. any help would be appreciated... thanx.

i would check the battery voltage first. anything close to 12 would be good. also do headlights work? or any of the accessories?

you said its not cranking at all. Like you turn the key and nothing happens? Check to see if you have an aftermarket alarm with ignition disable. This happened to me. I unplugged negative terminal of battery while working on car then when i try to start i get nothing. turned out that i reset the aftermarket alarm that the previous owner installed. I have to remove the whole alarm.

if u got no aftermarket alarm, i would check the different sensors that might prevent u from starting. i.e. inhibitor (clutch sensor), i forgot wat else i checked.good luck!

your battery should be fine then if all the accesories come on. i think it might be one of the sensors that might disable the ignition. fuel pump is good you say. then i think that leaves it down to the green fusible link, interlock relay, clutch interlock. im assuming u got a manual. check the FSM.

the ground wire of the starter got disconnected from the starter. thats why the car wouldnt start. thanx for the help tho. i'll keep it in mind for future progress.
