I was out driving around tonight and noticed that when I got up to around 4500 and up it smokes really bad. I couldn't tell what color it was, I just seen it in the headlights behind me. I had the throttle probably around 3/4 of the way down when I noticed it. It doesn't burn any oil when idling or anything and I've never noticed it smoking at higher RPMs before. Doesn't overheat, no white smoke to speak of. Only has an intake, cat-back, and an aluminum radiator. Other than that, it's bone stock. Also, it leaks oil horribly bad. Like a quart a week at least! I'm swapping in an RB in the fall, so it's not that big of a deal, just want it to hold up until then. Any ideas?

dont drive it lol It sounds like a Piston ring problem but u never know.. Def get a chance to look at the color of the smoke, Black Smoke= Running Too rich of a fuel mixture, Seized Valves (Stuck open letting in too much fuel into the combustion chamber without being completely burned up) which can lead to carbon build up ,fouled plugs etc... u get the point Blue Smoke = Burning oil, your piston rings or ring gaps could be shot or worn letting too much oil through the cylinder walls White smoke= Burning Coolant or water, could be a crack in the block or head, a broken Head gasket You said the cars leaking oil horribly so i would start by looking for the source of the leak oil pan gaskets, spark plug holes (yea there too)

Thats all i can think of from the top of the head Hope it helps some!

Do a compression test, see how the numbers are. Check for injector leaks and intermix.

I've been told the oil leak is from the rear main seal, but can't confirm that for sure. Pretty sure it's leaking around the oil pan. But I'll check everything out and if I have anymore questions I'll let you guys know. Thanks!
