Ok I just recently made a kade swap for my 90's 240sx the engine didn't smoke until i got an overheating problem fixed(Air bubbles go figure).Anyway I was going through my spark plugs to see if any oil showed up, none. But the engine doesn't start smoking until it runs a bit and from dead stop then hard throttle is smokes but it doesnt smoke when shifting or anything could this be valve seals?

it depends on the color of the smoke
if its white and smells sweet its coolant.
If its black or has a blue tint than its oil.
let us know what color it is and we can help you more

I would say valve seals most likely. Mine did almost exactly that. My car would only smoke after about 20 minutes. Only If i sat at a red light a plume would come out when I took off, and that was it. The easiest way to be sure is this: Pull off your exhaust manifold and look in the exhaust ports.

All the valve stems should look dry and carbon covered, if they are oily, they are bad. The smoke cloud should be noticeably blue like 2 stroke oil. I replaced mine on the car myself in about 4 hours. I didn't rent any special tools either.
