I thought I heard before that the SOHC uses a different bellhousing, SEARCHING comes up with nothing, mainly just auto to manual swaps and bolt questions......... or bellhousing swaps for other engines.... nothing SOHC to DOHC

I kind of want to keep my SOHC engine... for reasons I don't know why, it just seems more simple, and its already in the car....... I have a spare engine and transmission from a DOHC car......... can I put that 5 speed on my auto SOHC?

also is the flywheel the same? I'll probably just reuse the stock used clutch/flywheel/PP I took off that car for now....... then upgrade when it goes out or I turbo this POS

I know these are somewhat basic questions, but thanks if you can throw me a bone!

the block on sohc and dohc engines are the same, so is the starter. it will fit, just remember that the bolts for AT are different from MT and to remove the auto pilot bushing.

thank-you

yeah I'll probably reuse the old clutch and flywheel, just because I did drive the car a few miles before I parted it and it does run very strong... and to be a cheap *** cause the ole lady won't be having me spend a lot on the car.......

I will however get a new pilot bearing/throw-out bearing and maybe even a Nismo clutch line and make some mods to the hydraulic system........
