At first I didn't want a 2 way either. I didn't really know what it does or what the differences are in a 2 way and a 1.5 way. 1.5 way, the wheels will lock when you give it throttle, while during engine braking, it doesn't lock up, it acts like a open diff during deceleration. While the 2 way locks up the wheels while you're engine braking just like when you're accelerating. As for drivability, it'll feel better then the old open diff. I'm sure Kaaz stop making 1.5 way for a reason.
Only thing I could see that a 1.5 way might be better is during hard auto-x where you are approaching a corner at high speeds with engine braking and regular braking, once you enter the corner, the engine braking wants to keep the wheels locked so it may be a little more difficult entering the corner. This little problem may only affect beginners but once you get used to it, I'm sure you can use it as an advantage.
