KAAZ LSDs,

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about which KAAZ LSDs are right for specific applications so without further ado we have diffs for the following,

Stock S13/S14 with open USDM differential

Stock S13/S14 with USDM viscous differential – this diff is a bit more expensive so you may want to go the easy route and order the diff above. In order to fit it into these models you will need to acquire the axle flanges from an open diff unit, just about every junkyard I’ve been to has these.

Stock JDM rear end LSD/non LSD – The JDM rears have a little bit of a different design and require a different differential these are not stocking in the United States but can be special ordered. The easy solution is again to fine a junk yard car with an open diff and swap it over.

All 240sx LSDs available in the US are of the 2 way type. We can custom order 1.5 way LSDs at a cost of $50 or if you prefer to keep the 2 way cams we can order the 1.5 way cams for $180. We have found as well as many of our customers that the 2 way LSD is an overall better unit and is not as difficult to control in a grip environment as many think. With a little practice the 2 way will ultimately offer better performance than the 1.5 which is one reason that KAAZ no longer manufactures the 1.5 way.

The current LSDs are also the new “Solid” type, offering a pack of 20 clutch plates as opposed to the 8 plates found in standard units as well as a reduction from 4 cone springs to 2. Not only are there more clutch plates but the plates in the Solid LSDs are a new RS design that allows for better reaction, control, heat dissipation, and power transfer.

All 240sx units come with everything need to install including gaskets, bearings, and end seals. The 240sx units are the only ones that come with these extras.

We are the largest KAAZ distributor in the US and we have the 240sx units in-stock 99% of the time. If you have any questions regarding the specifications or availability of these diffs please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-877-DRIFT US

Not to dig up an old thread, but I have a Kaaz in my '90 240..

It almost acts like a welded diff, as in turning sharp at a stopsign, the inner wheel will 'bark' alot.. Just making sure that's normal...
