yes IMO the 1.5 is better for drifting..and my higher entry speeds all season have showed this...the 2way can cause an upset in the drift because of locking characturistics on decel....

is a posi-trac reliable in CHEVY???? no idea autocross is gay...weaving around pillons doesnt teach a driver how to read the right line to apex a road course, but just to avoid a deer on the highway..lol id prolly go 1way for autocross, but then i think your hooped for drifting...if u want to change the characturistics of the diff then get a nismo, they sell the extra plates and springs so u can change from a 1way to a 1.5way, and then to a 2way...

2-way is by far the best for high speed drift, 1.5 way is good for beginers and daily drivers that see track days/ Kaaz are also pretty average in thier operation and a nismo, cusco, ats or osgiken is a far better core to start with. I like the nismo gear as you can preload the centre but they are too harsh for a daily, destroy bushes in no time. we run two diff's with differrent ratio's so we can swap between track layouts. one is a cusco (has adjustability between 2way and 1.5way) and the nismo pro tt... both are excellent and have never played up in the 3 odd years weve tortured them in comps.

yeah...your absolutely wrong on the assumption that 2ways r better... with the 1.5way you will be faster everywhere vs the 2way... i chose it this yr because most of the pros have been switching to the 1.5way over the past 2yrs...u can have higher entry speeds as the diff does not fully lock on throttle lift like the 2way....so i think you have some reading to do...the characturistics on acceleration are exactly the same...

being in daily contact with real pro's in D1 japan is enough for me... if you cant keep a 2-way sliding on entry your too slow... BUT i must admit most of our tracks here are close to the top of 4th gear on entry (courses are also alot longer (4,5 or 6corners) and people with 1.5way or a handbrake style enrty (amatuer) struggle.

if your entry speeds are slower (2nd and lower 3rd) it does make it easier to use a 1.5way (hence my beginner statement)

ps we build "pro" drift cars for a living.

ho drivers PS im pro driver who drives for TOYO CANADA....use your 2way...the japanese drift setups vs the top american drivers are totally different each person has there own style and preference..but the 1.5way will post the higher speeds. not buy much, but enough to get you those extra points with Andy Yen.. i did it all yr but i forgot i must be a slow amature...i dont think id be drifting with 583whp if i was a amature theres no such thing as lower rpm range for me...the ***** doesn't hit boost till 5500(my bad..small hot side for '09)
