Hey guys, new here. Checked the stickys and search options already. I know this has to be posted here already somewhere but cant seem to find it.

We bought a 240 shell to build a dirt ministock. Having no 240 experience we have pieced this car together. We rebuilt the ka24e and have a stock engine wiring harness and an automatic trans ecm. Looking at the schematic it looks like we need 3 powers. My question is, is there anything special i need to know? Any sensors i def need, or dont need? This is my brothers car i am helping him with and i havent personally laid out the harness yet to see exactly what goes where. We would also like to run without a fuel return line, and just want to run the basic engine wiring needed (flip a power switch and press the starter button). If there is already a thread answering this, please post the link for me. Thanks in advance

For the wiring, you can run an auto ECU on a manual setup no problem. The only major difference between the two EFI setups is the throttle body. The throttle position sensor has some extra circuitry for when the throttle is wide open. Just make sure there is power to all the necessary wires shown in the FSM. If you guys are using factory wiring, it should be a no brainer. Make sure all the EFI plugs are done, and if you relocate the battery, that the plugs from the positive terminal are getting battery voltage.

Thanks for the reply. We are using factory wiring. All we have is an engine harness. Are you saying that auto an manual have different efi setups?

The harness for an auto has sone provisions to the auto trans control unit and the tps is different. That's it. You can slap a 5 speed in and continue using the auto Ecu

So you don't have the chassis harness?
