Hey guys, I've got a 1991 Nissan Pickup, 2.4L KA24E 125k miles. I noticed some white smoke while revving my truck(sitting in neutral). It is when it is high revved and then let off. It will then smoke for about 3-5 seconds. It is not that much, but it is there. Medium revs do not produce the smoke. What could this be? Headgasket? I ran the truck for about 15 minutes today and did not notice any coolant loss from the reservoir. I pulled all the plugs and they look the same, and the colors are alright. It does slowly drip water out of the exhaust. Like a drip every 10 seconds.

Any comments?

Thanks!

have u smelled the white smoke....

if it smells ''sweet''' then u have coolant in ur oil...another way to check that is if after ur truck runs a while... turn off, and take off oil cap and if its whitish or brownish bubbly then its coolant in ur system... other whise i believe it could be ur head gasket

Symptoms of a leaking headgasket are usually one, or a combination, of the following:

-White smoke from the exhaust.-Constant overheating of the engine.-Loss of power.-Having to refill the coolant/coolant leaks

I am pretty sure that the white smoke was just moisture in the exhaust or something. Today I ran it and it did not smoke at all. The other days it was wetter out than it was today. :/
