i'm replacing my head and am going to dissassemble the donor head to touch up and pocket port. the donor motor ran strong and only needed head gasket fromrunning without coolant.

my question is if i remove the valves , port then replace them back in the same location would i need newvalve seats and machine work , or would they work just fine on the old seats.

Also, how much could i shave the head without running into valve clearance problems.

Are there ANY areas i should pay particular attention to when porting this head (like areas close to water jackets)
