I'm currently doing a ka24e swap from a '89 240 into my '76 datsun 620 pickup. I want to remove the egr and all the vacuum b.s. that I don't need, can anyone point me to a diagram or tell me what I need to keep? My chilton doesn't tell me ****e!

search next time damnit.

I'm being kind by telling you this info. You ONLY NEED TO KEEP THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND FPR LINES ALL. i repeat all OTHER LINES AND ASOSCIATED EQUIOMENT CAN BE REMOVED.

again revert to the first thing written.

So yo can remove all other vacuum lines and just cap them off and it won't affect any of the electronics? It won't mess with the idle or acceleration or anything?

I tried a search, it didn't work for me. My friend did the same swap and didn't use any of the AIC vacuum lines and it runs like **** when it's cold.

I can run the fuel press. off of manifold vacuum? What about the swirl control valve?

I thought the point of having a forum was to help people, you're kinda acting like that dushbag on the simpsons that runs the comic book store! What because I'm not versed in everything 240 I'm a dumbass!? I was just looking for a couple of quick answers, but I guess if you're all too good to help me out, then I guess what people say about 240 owners is true. You guys are worse than Z owners.

what do you want me to drive to you and jus do it for you? sure no.

If you dont like the way nico works go sell your 240 and leave us alone. I'm the only person that was willing to help your punk ***. Why because nico is a bunch of *******? NO,its because even the newest newbies can search and find what your asking for. Its in the fvcking stickies/articles or you can google it and get 10 links to it in 30 seconds(even on dial up).

you were helped twice in one thread ,so you sir must not want help. It seems like you wanna be sppon fed the epeen

Well, I wasn't only talking to you *** clown, I was talking to the other 60 people that looked at the thread. If you read the ****ing question, you would realize that I don't have a 240, I just have a motor from one. I appreciate you answering the question, but I asked another one for some clarity. I'm not dumb you ****, I've built and bagged my truck from the ground up, I just had a couple of simple questions! I've done a lot of searching on the net for these answers and this forum is what kept turning up, but if this is the way people get treated, then maybe you should be removed from any searches so "newbies" don't come on here and bother you! What a ****ing poopyhead!

told you XXX that and she smiled while it dripped off her chin. dont go calling names next time if you dont want childish behaviors tossed back. yeah you say you did this and that but yo cant figure out something so simple as to 2 vacuum lines.(my friggin response)

I'm the poopyhead nico tries to help people like you by letting you find answers you want/need. Let me help your stupid ***. this will be one google search and it will answer you question. then you leave nico and dont return. oh wait you returned after throwing us under a bus.http://www.google.com/search?s...movalnow next time rather try to tell someone how they should act,get a minute amount of patience with people. who were you talking to? me clearly as I was the only person to reply with valid comments, the other 60 views were probably newbs that wanted to know, how could they help . Dont make me get a mod on you *** and have you hit with the :banstick.

God damn, from the very beginning that guy was acting like an @$#hole!I agree with you bro. I try to search for stuff and can't find it and now I'm a little worried about asking people in here for advice because one of these arogant jerkoffs will try and talk to me like I'm a little kid. There are definately some cocky people on here that stick themselves on a pedestal because they have a bit of knowledge about a few motors. How in the hell can you ever learn in this world if you are surrounded by people like that?! I have had some good advice on here, but for the most part, it seems like people on here just wait for a question to be asked that they have an answer to, and then jump all over your *** with this "search you F@#$ing newbie retard" crap instead of just answering the question or ignoring the question and saving everybody some time. If all you @#%holes don't want to answer questions, than don't even click on the goddamn post. It is completely f@%#ing pointless to chime in with that bull@%#*.

man that was my first response. I clearly gave a valid reply(that answered).I cant help it gets real old new people come and ask the saem stuff over and over. I have been here not long at all and have seen 30 of these exact same posts. From now instead of giving constructive critism I'll just not respond at all and people like the op(and maybe even yourself) wont get an answer at all from long time members. Then I repeatedly gave an A to his Q with a google search for him waut here is another zerothread?id=157751 this is from a simple nico search. I insist on the search thing cause, well if your too fvcking dumb to find it on nico, your fvct anyways. So get mad along side this guy who wasnt smart enough to search a SIMPLE task. lol good luck pimpin

Oh don't give yourself that much credit. I'm not mad at all, nor am I taking sides. I'm a little to old for that bro! I just don't understand why you would rather waste more time by being a jerk, when you could save everyone time and energy by simply answering a question or just not responding. Thats all buddy. Don't start attacking me and try to suck me into this pissing match! If I wanted to argue with some little kid I would go to Chuck E Cheese and cut in line!

in before the lock!!!!! haha.

the funny thing about this post is this: i am doing a head gasket install and i decided to get rid of the unnessary crap, i was gonna search for this exact topic but low and behold i found this thread before even i searched for it.

in the second post Neverlift answered all of my questions. hands down.isn't that ironic, dont you think?

thank you,Neverlift. >>>>>>>>>>>>A.J.

no I'm a c*** smuggler o/p as in next to jville? btw dont take my advice I'm a toolthat doesnt speak english so it must be alien then...

oh wait dont thank me, nico is just for this, to get someone who wont/didnt search a formal kick in the nuts,so he/she will in the future search or at the least look somewhat. I did just that and then gave valid info to the question(be it a dumb one, took you what 2 seconds to open you eyes and find it ).

why do you think mods have yet to lock this cause they havent seen it lol ? wd d!ck and greg all watch over these forums, just to name a few.... just wait till they enlist my screening process for new members

Still have so much time on your hands to talk ****! Still never actually answered the questions, the links you gave were primarily for a kaT or DE which are quite a bit different. I tried your gay *** search and came up with nothing. This website is a piece of ****, and it doesn't make me dumb if the thing doesn't work right!

Grow up dude, and get a life! Your car is probably a huge pile of **** with a big aluminum wing on the trunk! Go buy a Honda you ****ing fast and furious wannabe!

I'm a stay at home father you tool. a big wing mmmmmmmmmmmmmmuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhaaaaa

I have a better life then you if the links I provided were not of use. do you think a ka~t is what you also think an 8 bit ecu(sohc for the dumb guys) will be less responsive to such mods

ACE yep jax fo life mofo you have seen me I'm sure with my big *** wing and stuff.

I only came with the search thing to these DOODs cause this has to be the most asked question EVAR! I have probably gave the answer15 times and read posts with it over and over. I mean what is hard about fpr and b/b line....I too asked dumb **** but learned the hard way (that bad place)its funny you say patience...none is had by some members who join just to ask a question ,then if its not spoon fed to them, they get all upset, even after it was clearly GIVEN.

I <3 nico you on 240sx.net yet btw ace? local forum well its not so much local as **** like this doesnt last.

Thanks, I have that diagram, but wasn't sure if it would cross to the E. I've spent hours searching for info on this motor and have only mostly found info on all the other versions. It's nice that the first time I post on this site I get bombed with all this b.s. I'm sorry that it gets asked a lot, how am I supposed to know that? Like I said, the search didn't give me ****, so I asked. I don't know enough about this motor to start messing with things that I don't understand. I have a '97 hb pickup which has a completely different setup because of the throttle body and I've never tried taking anything off of it or messing with it either, and wouldn't without doing research. I'm very mechanical, and learn things quick, but I like to do a lot of homework before I start changing things.

I already had all the vacuum lines and steel lines removed when i posted. I also CNC cut a custom EGR cover plate and installed it. I just needed to know where to get vacuum from for my fuel regulator and the swirl valve. I removed all 3 of the vacuum soleniods that were on the motor as well. Turns out the d!ck that sold me the motor had put a '95 throttle body on it, so I'm waiting for the right tb to come that I bought from ebay. The other tb has the throttle linkage on the wrong side and it won't work for this application.

I planned on using the vacuum port on the back of the intake to run the fuel reg. and maybe the port on the front near where the tb mounts to run the swirl valve. Although the one towards the front is quite a bit bigger, but I don't see any other places to grab vacuum from.

What's the point of the coolant lines going to the tb?

here is a website that I found through neverlifts post Here you go it has awesome real photos, exactly what you should keep and what to remove, not just vaccum lines, as well as custom alterations. It is definitely worth checking out.http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10789. I would also reccomend reading some things on why the emissions are there, I was planning on fully removing them but some actually help the car to run more efficiently, not just remove pollution.laters
