Car: 1971 510 wagon KA24e swap

Post

Hey guys. I have a 71 510 wagon with a Ka243 sohc swap in it. The engine starts and runs fine with plenty of power, but theres a rattle/tapping sound coming from the top end somewhere. It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the valve cover. It doesn't do it all at idle, only when you rev the engine. It does it whether its in nuetral or going 70 down the freeway. It starts at about 2k rpms and will continue until you let the rpms down. I took of the cover to check for play in the lifters but every one of them felt tight to me. I even rotated the engine to make sure I was checking each one while it wasn't compressing a valve. Any ideas? ill post a video of the sound tomorrow if I can since this is my first post. Thanks for any help you can give!
