ka24e to ka24de wiring question

hey im working on building a ka24de to drop into my 89 coupe. can i use the stock wiring harness? if i use the ka24de's wiring harness, will any changes need to be made? i would really like sort of a walk through on what is going to be needed. thanks a lot in advance.

I dont think theres any changes to it other than swapping out the harness itself.

yea but will the ka24de harness plug right into all my other stuff? lights, dash, ac, etc

You might need a new tachometer, and also i think the ps lines have to be re-routed? not sure, If anything, you might have to lengthen a couple wires at most.

That will all still work, it has nothing to do with the ecu side. You will however need a dohc gauge cluster or your tach wont work. I was planning this swap a while back and a nissan tech told me i would need:

dohc ecudohc gauge clusterdohc ignitor chip and coildohc a/c comrpessordohc motor wireharnessre route PS lines

I had all that stuff then i got lazy and sold all of it and bought a spare sohc ka thats getting rebuilt for turbo.
