My 1989 240sx coupe's Ka24e was damaged at a drift event, hot day and lack of oil, anyway, it now makes a clunking sound when it starts up. I think I can manage to drive it out of my parking garage to get it towed to a shop so they can put in an engine I get.

Question: If I get another Ka24e, the wiring harness I have now should be fine to use right? Also, If I ended up getting a Ka24de, will the wiring harness I have now be usable or will I have to get another? Lastly, how much should I expect to pay for an engine, an E and DE respectively? Which one would be the best choice in your opinion

I also live in socal, in the LA area, so if anyone knows where a good place to get an engine around here, I would greatly appreciate the info.

Thanks all!

you need the ka24de harness. there's a write up somewhere on here about the ka24e -> ka24de swap.
