I'm pretty sure you would need ECU and harness and powersteering lines and resivour from a 91+.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong or left something out.

you need the gauge cluster from a '91 and up 240 so the tach will work

you dont need the entire cluster, just the tach itself. you will also need to keep the SOHC body harness connector. there are six wires that need to be connected from the ECU, to the body harness.

I did a good write up on that swap when i went for it over the summer. If you search for "faq and diy" in the search bar (yes, I know it wasn't what you were expecting to be looking for to find asnwers for an engine swap) You'll find that thread with a link to the thread I made. Its got all the info you'll need, step by step, wiring, and trouble shooting. Try it out. Any questions during it, don't hesitate to get in touch with me via AIM

it also makes it a lot easier if the harness youre wiring up has the same options (ie cruise control)quick question to dohc swappersi just got mine working, and it runs like a champ, even the diagnostic connector works (we sourced *every* wire)what did you do about the ambient temp sensor? i ran one extra wire and connected it into the harness in a plug by the windshield washer resivior (theres extra wire run up there)i researched the fsm and im not too terribly clear on what it does... just makes the car idle a bit higher if ambient temp is over 77 degrees and the ac is on...anyway, just wondering if anybody else went through all the trouble to source everythingand frapjap: watch out, its not an easy of a swap as people will tell you.

What about just a head swap onto a ka24e block instead, would that be any easieror not.And what all would you need just for that? I have a Hardbody pickup and want to swap the heads
