ka24e to ka24de?

i was just wonder if the ka24e could be changed over to the de? if so is it as simple as switching heads or is more involved? thanks in advance.

i'm not 100% sure but i don't think the sohc had the same coolant pathways and bolt patterns that the dohc does. usually it's not as simple as switching heads. i'm not an expert on these motors but i could be wrong at that.

i think the head doesnt fit beside is not the same engine management (maps,timming...) do the complete swap with everything.. is easier....

well iv still got a question

WERE exactly did you mount the power steering reservoir? could a see a picture please. also i have new lines and a pump do i need a new reservoir cause i looked at a picture of the one for a ka24de and it looks exactly the same it just doesn't have the same mounting brackets?

also maybe i missed this on your outline, but do i need to replace the gauge cluster cause iv seen acouple of people say that on other forums.
