Could anyone let me know of websites, etc. where i could find a ka24de engine, 5 spd. transmission, etc I have a 1990 240 and I want to swap to the ka24de

Check out the Classifieds Forum here, you can find some pretty good deals in there. Someone just within the last 2 weeks sold a DE with 75k (I believe) and transmission for $500. Heres the link:

You don't need to swap out the engine. The block of the KA24E and KA24DE are the same. I'm pretty sure you can swap out the top end.

It has been done, but it's not just a bolt on deal. It requires a couple other misc. parts from a DE. It has been discussed in previous threads, a quick search will find them.
