it may sound dumb but ive done it twice now, make sure the harness that plugs into the ecu is tightened down ALL the way.

Hey ya, I'm having the same problem as this guy, so I'm gunna thread jack. Can someone show me some detail on the ground wires and were they should be. I'd like to double check that since I can't find a decent picture on the internet. Also any sugguestions on ways I should check my wireing? Everything is plugged up with no missing wires hanging around and the plugs are pretty idiot proof, I can't tell what could be wrong. Does the wiring from the ECU to the dash have anything to do with it?

YES the wires from the Dash to ECU make a difference. With mine it would not even fire up. Wire up those wires and you should be good to go. That's what my problem was i never bothered to wire that up. The only grounds on the motor i can remember are on fhe front left side past the injectors and on the back of the motor by the firewall there's another little ground that hooks to the motor.

When you say fire up do you mean the motor wouldn't crank or the ignition wouldn't spark?

When i tried it with the dash wiring not hooked up it would crank, get fuel, and spark, but wouldn't ignite/fire up and start. Then when i wired up under the dash it started right up.

basically if its not getting signal its not gonna turn anything thing on

realize the starger is a straight connectiong so if u gie it power and just power itll crank over but no signal to spark equals no fire...
