SOHC (89-90) tachs will NOT work with DOHC (91+)

Not sure about the AC bit, but I'm pretty sure since they are the same motor in the long run the parts should be interchangable (just a guess though)

For a DOHC engine in a SOHC chasis you need the power steering lines from the DOHC chasis.

Seaaaaaaarch!

you do not need new power steering lines. you can reuse the sohc lines by bending them towards the driver's side of the car and widening the banjo bolt with a dremel, it only needs a tiny little bit taken off. If you get an s13 carbon canister bracket, you can cut or grind off the brackets on the sohc power steering resevoir and use the carbon canister bracket to hold the resevoir on the driver's side fender. The stock sohc lines will all reach.the AC compressor from your sohc will not fit the dohc, I think only 1 or 2 bolts line up. You can either zip tie the AC compressor out of the way, and make a bracket to mount it to the dohc motor, and then find a belt that will fit, or discharge teh system and have it refilled using a dohc compressor. chances are you sohc system needs recharged anyway. its old.you will need a dohc s13 tach, and yes that will work with your s14 motor (at least it should). there is no wiring for that, it just screws in.

also, you know you need a dohc s13 intake/exhaust manifold, right? just making sure. And just so you know, for some reason I just swapped 93 dohc into 89 sohc, both 5speeds... and the driveshaft is too long.

S14 intake mani can still be used - Yes you will need the S13 exhaust mani, unless you get an S14 downpipe too, then you'd need new exhaust, so.....

For anything intake all you need is the plastic crap with the MAFS and I guess the airbox...

I didn't have A/C to begin with so I con't confirm any of that.

Tach is easy as was said above.

The P/S lines will look pretty ghetto when you bend 'em over, and the SOHC P/S resovoir is hard to get lined up also if you use the SOHC P/S pump (I'd recommend getting a DOHC pump + bracket...)

The throttle cable from SOHC works, but it crosses over the valve cover and also looks ghetto.

Oh, and I'd highly recommend using the S13 DOHC harness and ECU, unless you have an S14 and S13 FSM and are good at wiring...

Make sure to put the fuel lines on the right way and that kind of stuff... (I helped a guy out who had them on backwards... Fired up right away after I told him that...)

Thats about it... The S14 KA has a little more low-end torque, and a slightly lower rev-limit than the S13 KA - All in all, a fun motor :ylsuper ....for a KA....:D
