Hello all. I currently own a 1995 240sx LE (in Canada) with an S14 SR swap.

I got my engine, transmission, ecu and wiring from my KA24DE and i'm going to buy an 1989 coupe with a blown engine for cheap. I also have a cluster from a 1994 silvia from japan. Will this be all I need to swap the blown kae out and the kade in the coupe???

Please answer I've searched all the forums, and some people always offer the CA solution or the SR basic swap solution. I just want a reliable winter car cause I can't drive the 1995 in the snow and I got a complete 1995 engine lying around in my garage taking up some space with less than 113 000 kilometers....:help :help :help

Thanks.. i'm gonna realise my dream soon... 2 240sx in the driveway.. a ka and sr.. black and gold coupes ;)

I'm pretty sure that since you have the DE ECU and wiring that should be all you need. I don't know this for a fact however, anyone back me up?

Yea all set, might have to reroute some hoses and power steering, but other than that pretty much plug and play.

Also need to change speedo cluster. Its more or less a SR swap..just..easier.

I think you will have a driveshaft length issue. The ABS S14 driveshaft is similar in length to an S13 driveshaft... but the non-ABS S14 driveshaft is too long.

Hum my S14 was ABS (before the swap lol) so there might not be an issue there...

Did any of you guys seen an step by step how to S14 ka into an S13 sohc... if not i'll do it after and post it.. but it would save me a bit of time if there was one.. i've seen a s13 ka24de instead of an s13 ka24e but nothing about s14 ka...

I got two 1995 ka24de, ecu, wiring and trannys sitting in my garage.. lol gotta make some place soon!

Any other info are very welcomed!!!!!!!!!

The transmission for the SOHC and the DOHC are the same. Few different sensors, but the same bellhousing. As for the cluster, I know to swap from HUD you will definetely need the subharness. Analog I am not 100% sure on but my guess is you still do. The S14's wiring is a little different than the S13's but it will work if you are patient enough to just follow wiring diagrams.

I'm about to do my swap a 95 ka24de into a 90 s13. With the addition of an auto to a manual transmission. I've got the engine, transmission, ecu and also the wiring harness for the engine, transmission, dash, and front half of the car... alittle excessive. The 95 abs system, brake booster, clucth assembly, driveshaft, fuel pump, and several various fasteners. I did not get the gauage cluster... is this one thing I will need... or is simple cutting and splicing wiring an option here? If so where can I get the color coded schematics for both cars, the 95 and 90... Chiltons and Alldata had the same diagrams?

You need the gauge cluster or your tach will not work. It's not a simple wiring thing. You need either a whole new cluster, or a tach from the DOHC car.
